Where you decide to live your life on a spectrum of superficial, stereotypical male to female attributes (and we all do) is also purely subjective and similarly cannot be questioned.
However, your biological sex reflects an objective reality which cannot be changed by your subjective personal view and futile attempts to do so can result in serious health impacts to you as well as harms to members of the sex you are impersonating (primarily women).
Others who are grounded in objective reality should never be forced to accept your subjective version of your actual biological sex.
Finally, it's past time for the LGB community to separate themselves from the trans activists who are trying to take away the rights of women to fairness in sports and to privacy and safety in their restrooms, locker rooms and prisons. They also advocate for the chemical and surgical mutilation of children many of whom would grow up gay.
Their actions are evil and the
understandable negative reaction to the harm they are causing is spilling over to innocent people who are just going about their business, marrying and leading their lives.
These surgeries are an extreme form of conversion therapy and a super profitable, super creepy mutilation of healthy children. For what? Because adolescence is tough and some girls don't feel like Kardashians? Or growing into a man is confusing and if you don't feel like axe-throwing you should cut off your male parts? Follow both the money and the fear factor. Money because it's making doctors and pharma companies permanent customers. Fear factor because parents are told their child will do themselves in without these procedures. And social media sits atop of the whole horrible phenomenon.
Thank you for standing up and speaking yesterday. This is what I have said all along. The trans agenda has destroyed so many kids and families. I have been following this since my granddaughter got indoctrinated in middle school by the GSA club on campus. She ‘came out’ as trans after a sexual assault that made her spiral into medicating her pain and shame. Ended up in an adolescent treatment unit. She explored her early childhood trauma inflicted upon her by her father and decided to deny her female identity. She’s 18 now, basically just needs to accept that she is gender nonconformist and likely gay, but there’s shame in that, while there is fame in social networks.
She hasn’t done any medical or surgical treatments thankfully. We are hoping she can just find joy and acceptance of how she was created. She was not born in the wrong body! Social media influences are a cult. We all lover her just the way she is artistic, compassionate and beautiful.

An anvil falling from the sky?” Then I started doing some digging…and, just wow…an entire world of new, and disturbing information opened up. Anyway, thank you for pointing me in a new direction and inspiring me to interrogate my own perspective and assumptions. As someone who works in mental health, this was a vital shift in perspective.

Great article, and great speech. I only disagree with “… a lot of people who thought they were doing the right thing…” This is not an excuse, it is paving the road to hell with good intentions. It’s really no better than, “I was just following orders.”
Please expose the money behind the ACLU’s mission to fight states’ bans on medically transitioning kids. This is a really sordid part of this whole sad story. And thank you.
I’m angry too—as an old straight woman—-that kids are being fed the lies that women can be men with low testosterone, plastic surgery, and women face, and that the tomboy that was me many years ago doesn’t deserve to be called a woman.
Please keep fighting for boys and girls to simply be the boys and girls God created them to be.
